Notă biografică
Wellness Works in Schools, created by Rick and Midge Kinder, responds to contemporary educational challenges by helping students develop the needed skills to address important issues like stress, mental health, emotional balance, behavior, and learning readiness. Taught by founders Midge (MAT, RYT), Rick, (MBA, RYT) and daughter, Wynne -- – a private and inner-city public school teacher of 17 years, in many diverse educational and community settings, Wellness Works in Schools is an innovative health and wellness program based on mindfulness principles and practices.
Wellness Works has gained local, national, and international recognition with articles appearing in The New York Times, TIME for Kids, Child Mind Institute, (NYC), Lancaster, PA newspapers, and an international edition of National Geographic. In addition to it’s many in-school programs, Wellness Works has presented at the Annual Conference of the UMass Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness, Garrison Institute’s Discussion Forum for cultivating awareness and concentration in the classroom, the Mindful Institute of Canada, Yoga Services Conference, and the PA Department of Education’s alternative education conference.
