This championship book is written for those of us who love Penn State Football. Others can find their missing information from the bookshelves of those PSU fans who have this book. Maybe Despite so may great season records, the last time the PSU Nittany Lions won a national championship was in 1986 and it was against Notre Dame, whose last big national win was in 1988. ND fell hard that year and it was because of the Paterno "Boys" JoePa coached for eight thousand years so he should have had more than just two national championships (50 years of coaching) but somehow, PSU was not as respected as a lot of other teams. Besides the two national championship seasons, JoePa brought in five undefeated and untied seasons which Linos' fans call championships. In 1982, the Nittany Lions were 11-1 and they defeated big back Herschel Walker and Georgia to give Penn State a long-awited NC. Just 3 yrs later, the Nittany Lions came up short in the Orange Bowl v Barry Switzer's Oklahoma Sooners. But the next year, PSU would be back to play for a NC for another big win.
