Peter Craven, universally known as 'The Wizard of Balance', was England's most talented rider. The country's only two-times world champion, he thrilled speedway crowds from 1951 to 1963. This brightest of stars in the speedway firmament was tragically extinguished four days after a horrific track accident at Edinburgh in 1963.
