The book contains basic theoretical information about various dosage forms along with five classical examples of each type of dosage form for practice in the laboratory. A typical example of label has been provided at the beginning to demonstrate the various types of information to be incorporated in a label. Moreover each type of dosage form carries a typical label so that the students after preparation of the product can prepare a label appropriately. The language of the book is simple to understand and effort has been made to make the book student's friendly. There are 9 chapters; the first chapter contains the definition of some relevant official terms as additional information. Subsequent six chapters are of six different types of dosage forms. The chapter 9th is on incompatibility.

Notă biografică

D. K. Tripathi, has been working as Director, Pharmacy of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions, Bhilai. He had been the Dean of Faculty and the Chairman of BOS, Pharmacy, CSVTU (Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University). He has been in profession of Pharmacy since 1974 for about forty-five years. He possessed both industrial and academic experiences. He has successfully worked in various academic Institutions in West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. During his work he has understood the need of the students for which he has authored ten books. More than hundred fifty research and review articles have been published in various National and International journals of repute. He has supervised about six scholars at PhD level and about fifty scholars at PG level.
