When I was in last year of M. Pharm. project work, I had to select a plant for the research work. I went to the Ayurveda means Science of life.I have found one wonderful plant named Ipomoea reniformis.I decided to do research on this magical plant because of its Phytoconstituents. This book contains Pharmacognostical, Phytochemical and anti-infammatory activity of this plant. I have established various quality control parameters for standardization of this plant. Scopoletin, Coumarin glycoside has been isolated from this plant and shown its effect in reduction of inflammtion. One interesting thing regarding this plant is the shape of the leaf which is like a ear of rat & so its named as "Underkani" in gujarati. Still there are lots to be discovered regarding this plant; I have made my little effort to explore this magical plant in front of the world so that they can get various medicinal benefits from this amazing plant.
