Recenzii
From reviews of the first edition:
‘This is an important book, which should be read by all physicians’ Age and Ageing
‘Roy Shephard is one of those rare scientists who are able to write eminently readable and authoritative books on his field while at the same time continuing to contribute important original research. Descriere
In the late 1980s, the relationship between physical activity or exercise and aging was of great interest. The first edition of this book was a major review of the field. In this second edition, originally published in 1987, the author shows how far we can improve our adaptation to the aging process through an increase in personal fitness.
