The book begins this way I'm going to choose in this book the most notorious anti-Semites among the Jews in the English-speaking world. Name them and shame them. Where you have a long tradition of Jew-hatred as in Europe, this smear campaign is like throwing oil on a smouldering fire which can flare up at any time and scorch any Jew who happens to be in the vicinity. A small number of wilful and ignoble anti-Semitic Jews, domiciled both in Israel and outside, have become the spearhead of efforts to harm Israel and its people. Their incitement of anti-Semitism is not an issue that can be dealt with on an individual basis unless someone transgresses a law in which case it becomes a police matter. In most instances Jewish anti-Semites do not break the law. But in trying to harm Israel they are striking at one of the few fully developed democracies in the world; some say that there are only two dozen states which have reached this stage. They are using democracy with the help of hostile foreign states and interests in order to subvert the will of the people. There is no nation anywhere lacking a certain percentage of scoundrels and the Jews are no exception. That you have to accept and live with. "Anti-Semite" is a fancy German word for "Jew-hater" that was brought into English in the 19th century. The word is unambiguous and is an exact synonym for "Jew-hater." You will frequently see an Arab attack Jews with invective worthy of Goebbels and then claim that he cannot be accused of being an "anti-Semite" because he too is a Semite. He could just as well have said, because he too is a unicorn, since neither unicorns nor Semites exist. The words "anti-Semite" and "Semite" have no more connection than do "antidote" and "dote." "Semite" was applied by pseudo-scientists to label a race of people but that word and "Aryan" were originally invented to identify language groups. Anyone of any ethnic background can acquire and speak a language over time and there is no way of knowing where they came from. There is no such thing as a "Semitic" or "Aryan" race. F. Max Muller invented the term "Aryan" and he was appalled when he saw how racists were applying the word. F. Max Muller: "There is no Aryan race. Aryan is in scientific language utterly inapplicable to race. It means a language and nothing but a language. ... I have declared again and again that if I say 'Aryan' I mean neither blood, nor bone, or hair, or skull. I mean simply those who speak an Aryan language. To me an ethnologist who speaks of Aryan race, Aryan blood, Aryan eyes and hair, is as great a sinner as a linguist who speaks of a dolicocephalic dictionary or a brachycephalic grammar."
