Recenzii

This is that rare and delicious thing, a satire with a heart. Lois Cahall has written a Thelma and Louise for a credit-crunched world - a book so sharp and funny it would make Billy Wilder jealous. But Plan C is more than just the sum of its laughs. As Cahall skewers the ridiculous follies of modern life with a perfect six-inch heel, she also forgives all our vanities. Which is what makes this, finally,a surprisingly moving read.
Make it your A #1 priority to pick up Plan C. Lois Cahall has created a heroine you'll want to hang out with. Libby is a true girlfriend: hysterically funny, bawdy, and smart -- you'll laugh, cry, and commiserate with her to the point where once you've finally put Plan C down -- after you've read every word of it -- you'll miss spending time with her.
Racy, insouciant, uproarious, plugged-in and turned-on, Lois Cahall's Plan C is a breathless romp that knows all the best places to go, the worst people to avoid, and the perfect wisecrack to top off every occasion. It's a comedy precariously balanced on the awareness that the ground is shifting beneath the clicky heels of its sexy heroine, Libby Crockett, and the indignities of age are lying in ambush, ready to march up the driveway. But until then, kick back, raise a glass, and enjoy the ride.
