JEFFARES
is
Professor
of
English
Studies
at
the
University
of
Stirling.
He
has
taught
at
the
Universities
of
Dublin,
Groningen,
Edinburgh,
Adelaide
and
Leeds.
He
has
edited
and
written
many
books
on
Irish
and
other
authors,
and
is
General
Editor
of
the
Macmillan
History
of
Literature,
to
which
he
has
contributedAnglo-Irish
Literature(1982).
Macmillan
also
publish
hisNew
Commentary
on
the
Poems
of
W.
B.
Yeats(1984).
