Offers the reader an analysis of the dynamics of social revolutionary conflicts. By applying social movement theory, this study reconstructs the insurgent campaigns of the Argentinean Montoneros, the Colombian M-19 and the Nicaraguan FSLN, and analyzes the development of violence, paying special attention to societal influences on the conflicts.
