"Miss Bobbie" is BARBARA SUE SYNHOFF CARNELL, a native of Florida and former Miss Volusia County (Daytona Beach) Beauty and Talent Winner. She was also the Lead Soloist for her High School Glee Club. Bobbie (Barbara) now is a great grandmother, Author, Poet, Artist, Musician, and Woodcarver and Instructor who taught Seniors & Handicapped for over 25 years. She has raised, broken, and trained horses. She is currently a Minister's wife for 40 years. She has been married to her High School Sweetheart, GENE, for nearly 68 years! They reside fulltime in Ridgecrest, North Carolina with their Fox Terrier, Scooter. Bobbie also assumed the role of "Aunt Samantha," partner of Uncle Sam (Gene), in costume and Patriotic presentations in Schools, Civic Clubs, Festivals, and Churches and Parades for well over 120 appearances since 9-11. AND she paints little rocks with religious scenes on them, giving away hundreds the last few years to comfort and encourage people. Folks know her as "The Rock Lady." Her husband says, "She Still Rocks!" This is her second book, co-authoring "My All-American Series" of five volumes on History and Patriotism with her husband: Chiron Publications, Asheville, in 2018
