Recenzii
Pope and the Destiny of the Stuarts adds considerably to our knowledge of Windsor-Forest. It provides both new, small facts...and authoritative discussions on important topics... It will be necessary reading for anybody wanting to understand the poem , and indeed, given its scope, for anybody interested in Pope's early career ...the detail and range of the historical and literary background he considers ensure that this is a book that will be read with profit by all scholars of the literature of the first half of the eighteenth century.
