Postcards & Poems: Thirty-One Days of Life Captured in Water Color Postcards, Letters, Words and Spaces

Autor Aaron Evans
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 aug 2021
"Postcards & Poems" is a book of watercolor art and poetry, created to inspire the creative relationship between the written word and visual arts. Set up to provide a meditation for an entire month, this book is written in such a way as to facilitate pondering on the meanings of the subjects, the poetry, and the art in a contemplative, digestive fashion. Author Aaron Evans has written poetry for most of his life, but he has never experienced such a creative outpouring as he did to create this book. The work is a result of taking the author's creative voice seriously. If it had something to say, Aaron stopped everything to listen. The poetry is inspired by Aaron's many adventures in the last year, including a trip to the Pacific Northwest in an RV, a toxic co-dependent relationship, loss and grief, and love and marriage. May this book draw you to listen to yourself, may it draw you into creative action!

Notă biografică

Aaron Evans is a poet and artist who found his way here through an unusual path. He is a retired Marine who had repaired radio electronics and trained other Marines to do the same. He decided to attend college to be a counselor.

With a few trials and failures along the way, Aaron decided to experiment using creative arts in conjunction with counseling. This inspired him to attempt watercolor painting and encouraged him towards poetry.

Aaron graduated with a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of North Texas in Denton. He aspires to assist other veterans in their transition to civilian life and towards their future endeavors through the use of art. Currently, Aaron is taking his knowledge of pottery into homes to bring hope and joy to others.
