John Ryder is Professor of Philosophy and the Director of International Programs, State University of New York, in Albany, New York. Recent publications include Interpreting America: Russian and Soviet Studies of the History of American Thought and The Philosophical Writings of Cadwallader Colden (with Scott Pratt).
Emil Višňovský is Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Social and Biological Communication, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia. He is the coauthor of three books, and has translated into Slovak two anthologies on pragmatism and Dewey. His book (in Slovak) Pragmatism and Neopragmatism will be published in 2004.
