Prayers for Pets

A prayer book full of blessings for children to read and say about their pets – prayers about their pets’ antics at play and how they look, the joy and fun they bring, caring for them day-by-day and as they grow up, and celebrating God’s care and love for them, too. 

Illustrated with adorable photographs of a great range of pets, featuring puppies and dogs, kittens and cat, fish, horses, small pets like rabbits and hamsters, spiders and snakes, tortoises, lizards and other reptiles and amphibians. 

The collection includes not only prayers and blessings for everyday lives of pets, but also comforting prayers for when pets are sick and needing to visit the vet and goodbye prayers for when they die.

Deborah Lock has been writing and editing children'snon-fiction, fiction and educational titles for more than 20 years. Sheis dedicated to developing products that engage and inspire children, instil a love of reading and lifelong learning, and share the Christian faith. She is a licensed lay minister at her local parish church, leadingworship and actively involved with children and youth work, and enjoyssinging, drama and dance (which comes in very useful when co-ordinatingthe children-led Nativity service each year).
