Wendy Luttrell is Associate Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and author of School-smart and Mother-wise: Working-Class Women's Identity and Schooling (Routledge), winner of the 1998 Oliver Cromwell Cox Award from the American Sociological Association's Section on Racial and Ethnic Minorities.
