Jemima Holt is alive and well, thank you. She stays in shape by daily walking a two-mile route. She breathes in the cool spring air, stops often to connect with folks along the way and keeps a sharp eye out for strangers. She plans her work and works her plans, and she loves a mystery. She has no shortage of projects and challenges or of friends, family and possible foes. It all happens as she nears her 93rd birthday. She is proud, opinionated, helpful, loving and lovable. Her innate pride generally spurs her on to finish the course, but alas, sometimes it slows her down. Speaking of pride, Jemima becomes caretaker of Pride, the Chocolate Persian from next door. This extraordinary feline helps us connect the dots between the locals and the mysterious Iranian visitors.
