Principles of Stormwater Management

Autor Roger D. Griffin
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 26 feb 2018
This book presents of all aspects of storm water management: the hydrologic cycle, sources of contaminants, standards applicable to discharges, regulatory issues, atmospheric deposition, best management practices, and health/environmental impacts. It includes technical details of the modern treatment of stormwater, the emerging issues of atmospheric deposition, run-on, and snow melt, the Epidemiologic Model, and field data on discharge concentrations of a variety of contaminants. The principles explained in this book will enable students, contractors, developers, and engineers to grasp the most important field elements which must be included for construction projects impacting stormwater.

Notă biografică

Roger D. Griffin has more than 40 years of technical and management expertise working on numerous environmental problems. He has in-depth experience in the design, evaluation and testing of existing and planned combustion sources; air pollution emissions; stormwater contamination and treatment; waste-to-energy and hazardous waste sources and control technologies combined with several years of advanced study of pollutant formation and dispersion from point and area sources. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Washington, California, and Arizona. He taught for ten years at UCLA and UC Irvine in their Environmental Engineering Extension program teaching the core cores in air quality and hazardous materials management. He is currently affiliated with the University of Idaho's sponsored Stormwater and Erosion Education Program.

Recenzii
