Recenzii
To write a book on private foundations and accommodate all the idiosyncrasies of the jurisdictions concerned is a challenge, but to extract the common features that private foundations have in common is a necessary step to develop the concept of international private foundations. The book is timely in that it is presenting for the first time in a comprehensive account of foundations the influence of the courts, which are beginning to take a part in interpreting the foundation laws.
The English concept of the trust has spread throughout the world. In this immensely scholarly and fascinating book, Paolo Panico shows this fusion of an obligation of conscience with a title to property taking slightly different forms in different jurisdictions - sometimes by statute and sometimes by reason of a decision of the local court. A lucid and hugly informative work.
