He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toyama, Japan. He has played a pivotal role in advancing knowledge and innovation in this domain particularly working with the National Sports Institute Malaysia. His exceptional research and scholarly outputs have not only been published in reputed journals but have also been presented at prestigious national and international conferences.
Dr. Mohd Zamani Ngali is the head of Sports Engineering Advanced Research Group at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. With over ten years of experience in the field of sports engineering, he has made significant contributions to the development of sports analytics and has been recognized for his research in the field. His research team has been instrumental in advancing the use of AI in sports data analysis in Malaysia.
Suhizaz Sudin possesses an extensive background of over 20 years in the realms of computing, networking, and system development. Prior to his affiliation with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP i) in 2004, he accumulated valuable experience working in diverse computing environments across local and international industries. In recognition of his expertise, Mr. Sudin was appointed as a member of the National Cybersecurity Task Force by the Malaysia Science Academy in 2016, highlighting his contributions to the field of cybersecurity. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Head of the Computing Group within the Sports Engineering Research Centre at UniMAP. His current focus lies in the domains of Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and system development as applied to sports.
Mohamad Fauzi Ibrahim is a certified professional technologist (TS) and a key figure in the Malaysian sports industry, specializing in sports technology research and development. He holds the position of Head of Industry and Technology Transfer at the National Sports Institute of Malaysia and has received numerous awards for his contributions. Fauzi is a member of several professional bodies, including the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has also been involved in high-profile projects such as the Aerodynamic Training and Testing of Dato' Muhammad Azizulhasni bin Awang's Olympic bike WX-R Vortex exemplifies his commitment to pushing the boundaries of sports technology through hands-on involvement in high-profile projects.
Dr. Alex Casson is a reader in the Materials, Devices, and Systems division of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester; visiting reader in the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds; bioelectronics technology platform lead for the EPSRC Henry Royce Institute for advanced materials; and a fellow of the Alan Turing Institute for data science and artificial intelligence. His research focuses on non-invasive bioelectronic interfaces: the design and application of wearable sensors, and skin-conformal flexible sensors, for human body monitoring and data analysis from highly artefact-prone naturalistic situations.
