Protection Island National Wildlife Refuge and San Juan Islands National Wildlife Refuge are managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as part of the National Wildlife Refuge System. They are two of the six refuges that comprise the Washington Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
