Frank Maynard Earle (1888–1952) was at the time of publication: Principal of Kirkaldy High School; Formerly Head of the Vocational Department of the National Institute of Industrial Psychology; and sometime Professor of Education in the Rhodes University College, Grahamstown, South Africa.
