Notă biografică

Dr. Sherri McCarthy is Professor of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Human Relations at Northern Arizona University in the USA. She has over 20 years of experience in academic teaching and research and has been a visiting professor at the University of Malaysia, as well as at universities in Russia, Brazil and Europe. She was on the founding Board of Directors for the Asian Psychological Association, and is a founding member of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division of International Psychology (52) and ICOPE (Teaching Division within the International Union of Psychological Sciences). She was also an active member of the Board for the International Council of Psychologists for more than a decade. Dr. McCarthy was written or edited numerous books, chapters and articles. Her current work is focused on international changes in psychology teaching, peace psychology, psychometrics and human lifespan development, especially adolescent development. Dr. Jas Jaafar is Associate Professor of the Faculty of Education at the University of Malaysia. She has been active on several international studies related to relationships, child and adolescent development, moral reasoning, cultural influences on development and other areas and is active in developing psychology as a discipline in Asia. She is a former President of the Asian Psychological Association and remains active in the organization. She has authored or edited numerous books, chapters and journal articles. Her current work focuses on cross-cultural psychology, cultural influences on education and human development (child and adolescent). Dr. Anila Kamal is Professor and Director at National Institute of Psychology, Qauid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. She has an extensive list of published articles in refereed national and international journals, books, chapters in books to her credit and has developed numerous psychological tests and scales. She has earned fellowship awards from universities throughout Asia, Europe and the U.S. and has more than 20 years of experience in academic teaching and research. She has conducted funded projects with well renowned organizations including UNDP, UNESCO, Ministry of Women Development, Government of Pakistan, and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. Her research is predominately in the areas of gender psychology, social issues, and psychometrics. Aisha Zubair is a doctoral candidate and Lecturer at National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-i-Azam University. She was integral in helping to organize the International Conference on Organizational Psychology in Islamabad in 2012, and has experience in teaching and research supervision at the post graduate level. Her publications include articles in refereed journals and edited work for proceeds books and test manuals. Her major research interest areas are industrial-organizational psychology, peace and conflict, and positive psychology.
