Recenzii
Increasing recognition of the effects of comorbid psychiatric disorders that accompany medical conditions mandates that all physicians including psychiatrists, understand that recognition and management of such coexisting clinical entities is imperative. This convenient volume encompasses such information in a practical yet comprehensive manner. From common symptoms such as anxiety, depression, insomnia and agitation to specific disease entities where psychiatric disorders commonly coexist, the book offers the clinician a guide to effective and evidence based management. Psychosomatic Medicine should be on the desk or in the pocket of all clinicians, whether a seasoned practitioner or a resident.
This is a small and portable handbook packed with the latest information on commonly encountered psychosomatic medicine topics. It summarizes current scientific literature and condenses it down to need-to-know basics. Its standardized format, easy-to-reference tables, and eloquent conciseness make it incredibly easy to use. Clinicians and trainees in psychiatric and medical practice will find this a valuable tool.
