It only amounts to manipulation of it. His only experience and realization is that being aware of your breath can result in the natural dropping of it, and then you can be out of its clutches. Changing the action doesn't help. Changing the state of mind can get you the desired success, and then you truly rock in life. The author wanted the book to come out of him based on his own life experiences rather than writing anything based on some bookish knowledge.
