Notă biografică

Deborah K. van den Hoonaard is a sociologist and professor emerita at St. Thomas University. Along with Qualitative Research in Action, she is the author of By Himself, The Older Man's Experience of Widowhood (20102013, University of Toronto Press) and The Widowed Self: The Older Woman's Journey through Widowhood, published in 2001 by Wilfrid Laurier University Press. She is currently working on a study of women's experience of widowhood in the 21st century. Van den Hoonaard regularly talks to community groups about her research.Lisa-Jo ven den Scott is an associate professor in the department of sociology at Memorial University. She is a co-editor of The Craft of Qualitative Research: A Handbook published by Canadian Scholars (2017). She has worked with Inuit communities in Nunavut studying the use of walls. She has also published work on reality TV and the sociology of time.
