Since 2006 investigations have been carried out in the Quesna necropolis by the team of the EES Minufiyeh Archaeological Survey. The publication Quesna I concerns the first element of work that has now been completed, the investigations in the Ptolemaic-Roman cemetery (2007-2013). It opens with a description of the whole site, including brief detail on all areas of investigation carried out and still ongoing, before proceeding to the main catalogue which includes information on each of the burials that has been excavated and analysed.

Notă biografică

Joanne Rowland has worked in the Nile Delta since 1998 on projects from the Middle Palaeolithic and Neolithic to the Ptolemaic and Roman. She was a research fellow at the Research Lab for Archaeology (University of Oxford), a scientific collaborator in the Egyptian Department of the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels, and Junior Professor in Egyptian Archaeology at the Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh and director of two fieldwork projects in the Nile Delta, both under the auspices of the Egypt Exploration Society.
