Quicksilver Elite

Autor Dan Logue
en Limba Engleză Paperback – noi 2015
Fresh out of grad school, Sam McCullough gets what he believes to be the opportunity of a lifetime when offered a coaching position. Packing up his entire life and making the move from North Carolina to Massachusetts was just what he needed to finally get his life started.
But what he encounters is nothing like his daydreams: resistant athletes, still smarting from their former coach's sudden and unexplained departure, force Sam into the center of more high school drama than he could've imagined. Constantly challenged internally and externally, second guessing himself at every single turn. He wonders whether or not his early success was just a fluke?
Things finally begin to fall into place after meeting the PERFECT girl and his team's success starts to skyrocket him to happiness he's never felt or even knew existed. Being the over thinker that he is naturally, Sam just can't let himself truly enjoy all of this and continues to feel that it's still not enough. He keeps feeling something is missing, but what exactly?
In the loneliness of a long-distance relationship with a woman whose career is set to soar and a town where he knows very few people outside of his team, he develops a schoolboy crush on an athlete's beautiful and fascinating mother. Vowing to ignore it just never seems to work and he finds himself more and more infatuated with her. Can he resist the temptation or will he risk everything he worked so hard for to indulge in a fantasy?

Notă biografică

Dan Logue is a native of Buffalo, NY and former athlete and coach, focusing on the sprints and hurdles. After nearly 10 years coaching the sport, he moved to New York City to pursue a masters' degree at NYU's School of Professional Studies; earning an MS in Global Affairs. While at NYU he served as Managing Editor for his program's journal Perspectives on Global Issues. Writing and editing academically stoked a creative fire that encouraged him to reflect on his years coaching track and field. Taking those experiences, he created a story he hopes to bring together athletes, coaches and families with the tale he's woven. This is his first novel.
