Rainbow Interlude

Through the eyes of infantrymen Tony Milo and Jim Wilson, "Rainbow Interlude" describes infantry combat in an anti-tank mine platoon and in a rifle company while enduring the rigors of winter in foxholes. Follow Tony and Jim's military careers from induction into service, through basic training, deployment to Europe, first combat, the Battle of the Bulge, the final drive through Germany, VE Day, the immediate postwar occupation, and demobilization.

The two men also experience a heroic defense by Rainbow infantrymen against a vastly superior Nazi panzer force during the Battle of the Bulge, as well as the liberation of the famous Dachau concentration camp.

Based upon author Joseph F. Genna's firsthand combat experience while serving in the infamous Rainbow Division during the World War II, "Rainbow Interlude" deftly interweaves fact with fiction.
