Maureen was born with Cerebral Palsy. She fell through the cracks of the mental health system. Through hardships and triumphs, Maureen is a person who is very determined. She stands her ground on things she feels strongly about. Maureen likes to advocate for others. She has won awards for advocacy. Maureen made the ultimate sacrifice that every mother dreads and that is giving up her child so her child could have a family that would be able raise her and provide for her. But Maureen knows it was the best thing for her and her child.
