Cross-sectional study was carried out with the aim of assessing Raya indigenous knowledge of dairy products processing practices unique with all local resources enabled to exploit as food, medicine, ointment and custom of dying white close in to grayish fashions peculiarly. Raya area is endowed of Harmo cattle.Milking vessels in use 'gibar', plastic and 'karfo'. Farmers use utensils for souring milk as'qurae', plastic vessels or gourd whereas for storing ghee plastic, 'qurae' and stainless steel vessels. Churning vessels in use is'laga'. Butter handling practice is using 'qorie' made from glass stainless steel, log, 'gibar, plastic and gourd. Farmers use various species of plants for cleaning and smoking of utensils used to store.Identification of the active ingredients in plants would help their commercial use for improving the shelf life of milk products at a smallholder and larger scale with the aim of increasing the income generation capacity of dairy enterprises. Cow dung cake fuel exchanged in hatela feed, minimizing fire wood deforestation.
