Extras

"In the stories I’ve added some prompts that you should use to help bring the story alive. For instance, in the first story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, I’ve included directions for the adult to tap their fingers on their legs or the leg of the listener as each goat goes across the bridge. Use these prompts along with making up funny voices and faces for the characters in the stories. In other words, let yourself go and just have fun playing."

Textul de pe ultima copertă

Cutrer, a professional storyteller and former schoolteacher, has assembled tips and suggested "sure to succeed" stories for family storytellers and teachers in many venues. The author's three decades of trial-and-error have resulted in helpful ideas for the novice storyteller who works with children of pre-K and elementary ages.

Recenzii

"Rosie is a fantastic storyteller! Anyone who can keep an audience of 300 plus students plus seven staff spellbound for an hour has a true gift. The Adults were singing & laughing about the show long after it had ended."

"Rosie Cutrer has presented storytelling workshops for our library many times over the years. At her most recent visit to the library, she conducted a workshop in which she shared tips for storytellers. Her experience and unique insight were apparent in the thorough, hands-on workshop. The feedback from our patrons was fantastic. Cutrer has a wealth of experience to share, and a voice that makes learning with her a delight."

"Rosie is the 'rock star' of storytelling. Parents, students, and teachers adore her! Her stories are engaging, fun and keep everyone entertained."

"Rosie is a tour de force in storytelling. She has performed at the National Park Service for three years now. She was so well received that the principals and teachers have asked her back for a return engagement."

"Rosie's style is dynamic, most engaging & polished. In some sessions she entertained nearly 500 students & captivated her audience."

"Dear Grandma Rosie, Thank you for sharing your stories with us. The ghost story was very funny. I liked it a lot. I am lucky to have a grandma like you."
