Mr. Woods has 17 years of experience in Youth Development, Developing Youth Engagement Strategies and Relationship Building, working with Stamford Public Schools, Stamford Boys and Girls Club and the Allan Houston Foundation. A New Jersey native, Mr. Woods made his way to Connecticut by way of athletics. Attending Southern Connecticut State University, where he was a member of the 1996-1997 Men's Basketball Elite Eight Championship Team and earned his Bachelor's Degree and later earning his Masters in Humans Services from Walden University. Winner of the 2013 Passion Award, 2019 MayTag Dependable Leadership Award, and 2020 Community Leadership Award from the Stamford Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Woods comes from a winning culture with a dynamic leadership background, relationship building is his forte! His ability to connect with young people is AMAZING!! Having experienced trials and tribulations as a troubled and challenged youth, he understands the need for different outlets and the importance of having positive adult role models in the lives of young people. Mr. Woods currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Patricia and daughter Alexis.
