Rechtslage von Auslandsinvestitionen in Transformationsstaaten
Editat de Mark Boguslawskij, Alexander Trunkde Limba Germană Paperback – 31 mai 2006
Many transition countries in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Asia have developed very positively in the last few years. A significant part of this success is due to foreign investment. In order to stabilize these developments and further stimulate economic growth in these countries, an adequate legal infrastructure is necessary. The present trilingual volume (English, German, Russian) - at the same time a scholarly donation to the former Director of the Institute of East European Law of the University of Kiel, Professor Wolfgang Seiffert - contains contributions from China, Czechia, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine and the United States on various aspects of the law of foreign investment. The contributions deal both with public international law and domestic investment law issues, reaching from investment-related aspects of WTO law to bilateral investment treaties and, finally, domestic investment law in transition countries. Some examples: the new Russian legislation on special economic zones as well as on concession agreements, the new international contracts law of Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, investment law in Vietnam and topical issues of dispute resolution in foreign investment matters.
