Relaxing afternoons by a beautiful lake, rustic decor of a beloved cottage, carefree hours spent discovering nature... these are the nostalgic experiences that help to create the memories we all have cherished of summers gone by. They are also the inspiration for the new Recreated Designs book; Cottage Projects With a Vintage Flair. Cottage Projects With a Vintage Flair is filled with Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects and charming photos for the cottage and nature lover in us all. This book is packed full of step-by-step projects made from reclaimed and vintage finds and includes tips and tricks to help you along the way. Original patterns are also included to help you easily complete some of the rustic projects. From old furniture and broken light fixtures to a discarded waterski and outdated baskets, the Recreated Designs book is the perfect guide to get your creative juices flowing. Be inspired - recreate the world around you! This book is written and photographed by Lisa Silfwerbrand, the author and creator of the popular Recreated Designs blog. Ms. Silfwerbrand is the celebrated author behind the popular Recreated Designs blog about upcycling inexpensive (and most often free!) vintage, flea market, and dump centre finds. She and the Recreated Designs blog have been featured around the web, on TV, and in print and daily inspire others to tap into their creativity while saying things from the global landfill.

Notă biografică

Lisa Silfwerbrand is the author and creator of Recreated Designs, a blog about upcycling inexpensive (and most often free!) vintage, flea market, and dump centre finds. Featured on the web, TV, and in print and following her mission to reclaim, repurpose and recreate, Lisa inspires others to tap into their imagination and artistry while saving "could be" treasures from the landfill. With a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Lisa has expanded her passion for teaching by leading paint workshops and art classes locally. She has also taught blog and Facebook audiences worldwide through a series of 25 online shows geared towards upcycling and reuse. In 2019 Lisa was awarded a Creativity Award for Design. When not blogging, teaching, or hanging out at the cottage, Lisa loves to travel around hunting high and low for amazing vintage pieces. She has filled her home with these rustic finds creating a space that reminds her of simpler times, her love of nature, and summers at the cottage.
