Red Book and Cotton / Journey to True-Freedom is the biographical tale of Nimrod, the author's great-great grandfather, an African American slave who experienced freedom through The Emancipation Proclamation. Nimrod shares his experiences about being a slave, a narrative that's not solely about black-slaves and white-masters. It's more of an examination of the effects of slavery on black's and white's during slavery and the after- effects it would have on their progeny. A look at slavery from a spiritual perspective.
