Notă biografică

Neville Featherstone served in the British Royal Navy from 1956 to 1986 as a Pilot. He has participated in a Fastnet race, sailed from the Canaries to Barbados and completed a single-handed circumnavigation of the UK over the years. He began editing the Nautical Almanac in 1992, continued until 1999 and then resumed the editing role in 2003. He has also written the Reeds YachtsmanΣs Handbook and three Cruising Guides. He currently owns a Westerly Fulmar, and lives in Sherborne, 30 miles south of Bristol in Dorset, EnglandΣs most beautiful county.
Peter Lambie grew up on the waterfront next door to the Island Sailing Club at Cowes. He spent his childhood mucking about in boats and got involved with the 'sailing scene'. He has raced  extensively in the Solent & offshore and has spent many seasons cruising North European and UK waters. He had a 35 year professional career at sea during which time he rose to serve as Master of Trinity House Lighthouse Tenders, Coastal Environmental Survey Vessels, Cross Solent High Speed Passenger Catamarans and Ro-Ro Passenger  Ferries. He lives in Wimborne, Dorset, closest to Southampton.
