The Waveney starts as a shallow stream between Lopham in Norfolk and Redgrave Fen in Suffolk. The counties are united by its waters which gather strength among marshland and meadows, medieval towns and villages, churches, manors and castles, finally surging into the Sea near Great Yarmouth.
