"Reflections" is a pithy and direct assessment of the supernatural in terms of fact, evidence and reason. It goes beyond the pious haze of "belief" and "faith" to examine the supernatural (including religion) as abstractions of the human mind which must be constrained by existing reality. The author's premise is that, without such constraints, appealing and comfortable abstractions may themselves be accepted as reality resulting in unbounded and perhaps vicious fantasy by various segments of human culture.
