In the distant past, a war raged among the Red and Blue dragons until the Red leader was imprisoned and peace reigned once again.

Today Sara is a twenty-year-old woman living in a time where dragons have taken on human form so they can live peacefully among humanity. Unknown to Sara, she was born a Gold dragon. To keep her protected, her birth mother bound her powers and memory and put her up for adoption-she was taken in and raised by a family in Georgia.

But when the Red leader's guardian dies and leaves her estate to Sara, the Blue dragon leader sends his son to gain Sara's loyalty.
