This series of "smaller than book size" publications has been selected from among the many thousands of published works concerning the history and genealogy of New York State. Many of these "gems of genealogy" have long lain hidden and forgotten; incorporated in other works or other collections unknown and unavailable to the average genealogist. Most of the books are not facsimile reprints of the original, because a good copy of the original could not be obtained. Rather, the material has been retyped, often leaving out photographs when good copies could not be obtained.
