After surviving certain death at the hands of Spanish soldiers, patriarch Erastus Buck leads his family to the salt air on the California Coast to live with the peaceful Pomo Indians until caught in barbed wire enslavement. Snared by the ruthless greed of Samuel Yost, the Bucks and Pomo are in a race against certain annihilation unless they can stop Yost's race for power.
