When the weather outside drops to freezing, water lines are vulnerable to rupture. This happens because the stagnant water within the lines also freeze, expand and eventually cause the water line to rupture. This metaphor is typical of marriages today. Because we often allow that which happens outside of our marriages to hinder that which happens inside of our marriages, they too are vulnerable to rupture. Our weathermen often tells us to leave a little water flowing through our water lines to combat the susceptibility of rupture. And so this book helps the Christian marriage do just that.
