Chelsea Allen plans on doing one year as a reporter in southeast Georgia, then moving on to a bigger, more exciting city. A dead body is discovered in City Hall on her first day on the job, thrusting her into a world of shady characters, questionable morals, and egocentric public officials. While she struggles to make sense of it all, her personal life and professional life become intertwined through a chance encounter with a college boyfriend who shattered her heart.
