ABOUT THE AUTHOR Prof. G. Stanly Jaya Kumar (born 1960) is serving as Head, Department of Sociology, S.V. University, Tirupati. He is privileged with sound Educational background of Doctorate in Sociology, Master of Arts in English, Bachelor of Education and Post - Graduate Diploma in Personal Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare. He has Authored and edited 6 books and organized 10 National Seminars in different capacities. He has also contributed to the Journals of National and International repute. He actively collaborates with NGO striving for social cause. He is putting up 20 long years of Teaching and Research Experience. He began practicing Sociology since 1997, to fill - up the silent spaces of ignorance through sensitization. First, he will prepare a pamphlet through an expert in that field. At second stage, through self - managed P.G student teams disseminate vital information. Finally they will observe the change in KAP i.e knowledge, attitude and practice. He has covered nearly 40 Topics mostly in Rural and also in Urban areas covering thousands of people. No foundations and no organizations he is a "Silent achiever".
