RETRIBUTION, FAITH & CRAZINESS: Short Stories by an African Canadian Woman is written by a woman who grew up in rural Uganda. The stories aim at promoting discussion of concepts such as justice, fairness, retribution and psychological well-being. Some stories portray the mental anguish endured by individuals who are laid off from work. Retribution is depicted as just punishment for those who unfairly inflict pain upon others. Craziness includes foolishness of normal but crazy-acting individuals.
