In an act of savage terror, the President of the United State is seized on Air Force One with its location pinpointed to a remote and hostile African country by an American space spy station. With the power to strike any where in the world in under one hour, The Marine Corps Rapid Deployment Force must save the day.

With the help of the RDF's secret weapon--the Trans-Atmospheric Vehicle flown at 15,000 miles per hour by the Air Force's most elite pilots, carrying a deadly cargo of highly trained marines--it is up to one footloose Air Force pilot and an unproven Marine Corps commander to catapult their men and machines into the heart of Africa.
