Lore and legend, mining, geology, and horse racing are combined in this novel young riders will particularly enjoy. Eithne and Mandy are cousins, as different as the ponies they ride. Eithne's Keepsake is plodding; Mandy's is a showjumper. Mandy dismisses Eithne with her strange power of foreseeing the future, as weird.
