Right, Right, Meteorite!

Autor Roger Muren
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 31 mar 2020
Right, Right Meteorite! is the true story of the Willamette Meteorite, the largest meteorite every found in North American. It's an outrageous story about people's perception of value and ownership. And, about how silly and convoluted people can become when value is inflated by perception of rareness. The Meteorite spun out of its place somewhere in outer space a million years ago, landed Montana and was moved to Oregon during the last ice age. In 1902, Elly Hughes discovered it and realized he could cash in by setting up a display and charging admission. The matter spun out of control when others began to understand the money they could make if they could prove they owned the giant space stone. The whole mess ended up in the Oregon Supreme Court. The story is written in easy to read and understand verse. It's funny and complemented by amusing illustrations. The story is enjoyed by toddlers up through grade school, giving them the opportunity to hear a true story about an outer space object that actually came to earth. Right, Right Meteorite! is for anyone who loves to see irony in human nature, especially when it collides with the cosmos.
