The Energen, beings who control the elements, are Earth's only defence against the Brakonians: aliens bent on harvesting Earth for Energizon, a rare and powerful Energy source. The Energen have been training Humans in secret to replenish their numbers and give them an edge against their powerful enemies. Dr. Dasorba Nokk, an enemy who was presumed dead by the Energen Council, has captured Pyrayus and his team, who must work together they must work together to find a way to escape, and warn the Council of Dasorba's existence. Meanwhile, Maija leads a search for her missing team, while battling her own demons, determined to prove herself to the Energen Council.
